Our mission

Lifesaving and everyday health knowledge—made easier to understand, practice, and use.

Sutton Health & Safety Training makes lifesaving and everyday health knowledge easier to understand, practice, and use.

You leave knowing what to do next.
Read in:

Knowledge. Skills. Compassion.

Preparedness is more than remembering facts. Sutton helps people understand the moment, practice a safe response, and care for the person in front of them.

Knowledge

Understand the situation, recognize risk, and know when help is needed.

Skills

Turn understanding into practiced, safe action.

Compassion

Protect dignity and remember the person beyond the emergency.

Know. Act. Care. Connect.

Understand the moment. Practice the response. Care for the person. Know what to do next.

Know

Recognize what is happening, what cannot wait, and when professional help is needed.

Act

Use practiced skills and take the safest responsible step available.

Care

Protect dignity, communicate clearly, and remember the person beyond the emergency.

Connect

Bring in emergency services, trusted people, healthcare professionals, or community resources when the moment needs more than one responder.

The goal is not to make one person responsible for everything. It is to help people recognize their role, act within it, and connect the person with the right next source of help.

Three connected ways to move the mission forward

Certification is the foundation—not the limit of the mission.

Get Certified

Book current American Heart Association BLS, CPR, AED, and First Aid course options.

Get Prepared

Build practical readiness for workplaces, schools, families, community groups, and organizations.

Learn for Everyday Life

Use practical education and free resources for safety, caregiving, hygiene, injury prevention, and health-literacy decisions.

How the mission reaches community and youth

As Sutton grows, the same framework can support community partnerships and youth readiness. Youth education is one application of the mission; the mission itself is broader and begins with helping every learner know what to do next.

What Sutton provides

  • Certification courses taught by an instructor authorized to teach American Heart Association courses.
  • Workplace and community emergency-readiness workshops, with a Sutton Health & Safety Training certificate of completion available.
  • Free public safety and preparedness resources.
Clear credential choices

Official American Heart Association course-completion cards are issued after successful completion of the applicable American Heart Association course. Sutton may also provide its own certificate of completion for Sutton workshops. That certificate documents the Sutton workshop and is separate from an official American Heart Association course-completion card.
