Call 911 (speaker on) and start compressions now. Push in the center of the chest, 100–120/min, about 2 inches deep, with full recoil. Keep compressing while the AED is readied; pause only when it prompts you.

Choking
Can cough effectively? Encourage coughing and watch. Cannot cough effectively, talk, or breathe? 5 back blows, then 5 abdominal thrusts. Baby under 1: 5 back blows + 5 chest thrusts with the heel of 1 hand; no abdominal thrusts. Call 911.

First 5 Minutes
1 Check scene safety; call 911. 2 Adult/teen collapse: Hands-Only CPR + AED. 3 Choking / bleeding — act and follow 911. 4 Give your exact location. 5 Spot danger early (chest pain, stroke, anaphylaxis).
